At first. I thought they had sent me the wrong one, as the locking device was on the wrong side. It turns out this door handle is reversible - it even says so in the very detailed instruction sheet. I had never seen that type of design before and I think it's very clever. The handle looks great and functions smoothly. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the new latch plate for the door frame is a good half inch shorter than the old one, so I couldn't really use it. Fortunately, the old shiny brass one in my 30 year old home has browned with age. |
